Design

Someone in your life has been gardening with the scissors from the kitchen junk drawer. They can get by, sure, but we’re seeing these scissors in their place: a great surprise, the most thoughtful of gifts, and, like late winter days that stretch just a bit more into the twilight, a reminder that happy days in the dirt will soon be here again. Also nice: they work equally well in the left or right hand.

Since 1861, Toyama Hamono has been hand forging metal tools like these gardening shears, using methods based on Japanese sword-making.
